What the card is
The card of starting. The Magician stands at a table with the tools already laid out, and begins. It covers initiative, self-belief and the will to act before conditions are perfect. What it concerns is the distance between having an idea and doing something about it.
The same paragraph stands behind this number on every chart that holds it. It describes the card, not the person holding it.
Where it can land
A Destiny Matrix chart has nine seats and each one holds a number from 1 to 22. 1 reaches three of the nine seats: the day, month and year points.
It cannot reach the other six: the karmic point, the centre, and all four corners. Only three seats are read off the birth date itself. Every other seat is two or more of them added together, and the smallest sum two points can make is 2.
Whichever of them holds it, the card is the same card, and 1 covers initiative, self-belief and the will to act before conditions are perfect. What a seat decides is the register it is read in, and there are six of those across the nine, because the four corners share one. What each register actually reads as, in words written to the person whose chart it is, sits behind that number on a chart rather than here.

Each corner is a pattern handed down. The two family lines run as diagonals, which is why each name appears twice: father from the top left to the bottom right, mother from the top right to the bottom left.
