Who you are buying from

Dolya is run and sold by Magnetis OU, a private limited company registered in Estonia.

That email address is the one to use for everything: support, a refund, a complaint, or a question about anything on this page.

What is sold

Type a birth date and Dolya draws the chart it makes and writes a short reading of it. That one is free, and there is nothing to agree to.

The full version is a longer reading of the same chart: seven named parts, about two thousand words. It costs €12.99, once, for one birth date. The price includes VAT, and it is the same figure wherever you are - the tax due in your country is taken out of it rather than added to it.

It arrives in two forms which are the same thing. A web page, which starts writing itself the moment you land on it and takes about a minute and a half to finish. And a link to that page, sent to the email address you gave at the checkout.

A reading is written for the chart, not for the person, and it is written once. Two people born on the same day get the same reading.

The link is the credential

There are no accounts here and nothing to sign in to. A purchase makes one link, and that link is the whole of the proof that this reading was bought. Anybody holding it can open it.

Lose the link and you lose the reading, which is why it is also emailed to you: the copy in your inbox is the one that survives a closed tab, a cleared history or a new phone. Keep it, and treat it more like a ticket than a password. A link opens the one birth date it was bought for and no other.

A link opens its reading for two years from the day you bought it, after which the record behind it deletes itself and the link stops working. It is not kept for ever on purpose: that record holds your email address and a birth date, and personal data has to have an end.

Fourteen days, and how you give them up

A consumer in the EU can normally cancel a distance purchase within fourteen days and have their money back. Digital content is an exception to that, and only when three things are true: you asked for delivery to begin straight away, you acknowledged that asking for it means losing the right to cancel, and we confirmed the contract to you on a durable medium.

The first two happen at the checkout. Before the payment button will do anything you have to tick a box that says, in these words:

I want my reading written now. I understand that writing it starts straight away and that I give up my right to cancel within fourteen days.

The button refuses without it, in a plain sentence rather than by going grey. The same words are shown again above the pay button on Stripe's page, so they are the last thing you read before paying, and they are recorded against the payment along with the moment you agreed to them.

The third is a confirmation from us, by email, carrying the terms of what you bought and the consent above. If you did not get one, the fourteen-day right stands: write to readings@dolya.app within fourteen days of buying and we will cancel and refund. Stripe sends its own receipt for the payment separately, by email, at the same time.

Refunds

Where something has genuinely gone wrong - the reading never arrived, the link never opened, you were charged twice - write to readings@dolya.app and we will put it right. Beyond that, a refund is at our discretion.

A refund ends the reading. When the whole of the price goes back, as a refund we make or as a chargeback you raise with your bank, the link stops opening the reading at the same moment, automatically. Opening it afterwards gives you a page saying the reading was refunded, naming the birth date it was for, and offering to sell it to you again. If only part of the price goes back, the reading stays open. Stripe sends its own confirmation of the refund, separately.

What a reading is not

A reading is written to be thought about. It is not advice.

Nothing in it is medical, psychological, legal or financial advice, and none of it is a prediction. It cannot tell you what will happen. What you do about your health, your money, your work or anybody in your life is your decision, and a reading is a poor substitute for a doctor, a lawyer or an accountant.

Dolya will not write about health, and that is built rather than promised. The composer is instructed never to raise health, illness, death or pregnancy. Every draft is then read by a check that looks for exactly those words, and a draft that breaks the rule is never shown to you and never kept. What you get instead is a fresh draft, or one plain sentence saying the reading did not come through. There is no health reading here because the product refuses to make one.

When it does not work

A reading is composed while you wait, and occasionally it fails. The free one can simply be asked for again. A paid reading that stops part way keeps the parts already written: come back to your link and it picks up from there. If it still will not finish, write to us.

There is a limit on how many free readings and how many payment pages one connection can open in an hour. It is there to keep an open, free thing from being drained, and a reader who has paid is counted on their own so that nobody else's traffic can shut them out.

Governing law

These terms are governed by Estonian law, and a dispute would be heard by the Estonian courts.

If you are a consumer, that takes nothing away from you. You keep every mandatory protection the law of the country you live in gives you, and you can bring a claim there. If we cannot settle something between us, the European Commission keeps a list of the national bodies that resolve consumer disputes, member state by member state, at consumer-redress.ec.europa.eu.

Changes

We may change these terms. A purchase is governed by the version that was on this page when it was made. The sentence you agreed to at the checkout is stored with its own wording and the date you agreed to it, so an old purchase is read under the words you actually saw rather than under whatever stands here now.
