Who you are buying from

Dolya is run and sold by Magnetis OÜ, a private limited company registered in Estonia.

That email address is the one to use for everything: support, a refund, a complaint, or a question about anything on this page.

What is sold

Type a birth date and Dolya draws the chart it makes and writes a short reading of it. That one is free, and there is nothing to agree to.

The full version is a longer reading of the same chart: seven named parts, about two thousand words. It costs €12.99, once, for one birth date. The price includes VAT, and it is the same figure wherever you are - the tax due in your country is taken out of it rather than added to it. You must be 18 or older to buy it.

It arrives in two forms which are the same thing. A web page, which starts writing itself the moment you land on it and takes about a minute and a half to finish. And a link to that page, sent to the email address you gave at the checkout.

A reading is written for the chart, not for the person, and it is written once. Two people born on the same day get the same reading.

The link is the credential

You don't need an account to buy, and buying does not make one. A purchase makes one link, and that link is the whole of the proof that this reading was bought. Anybody holding it can open it.

If you make an account with the same email address you bought with, your readings are listed in it. That is a list of the same links, not a second way in: each reading still opens from its link, and deleting the account does not stop it.

Lose the link and you lose the reading, which is why it is also emailed to you: the copy in your inbox is the one that survives a closed tab, a cleared history or a new phone. Keep it, and treat it more like a ticket than a password. A link opens the one birth date it was bought for and no other.

A link opens its reading for two years from the day you bought it, after which the record behind it deletes itself and the link stops working. It is not kept for ever on purpose: that record holds your email address and a birth date, and personal data has to have an end.

Accounts

An account is optional. Reading a chart and buying a reading work the same without one. What an account does is keep birth dates, your own and other people's, and list the readings bought with its email address. As with buying, you must be 18 or older to make one.

Only keep somebody else's birth date in your account if you have reason to think they would not mind. It is kept for you alone: nobody else is shown it, and it is not connected to any account of theirs.

You can delete your account at any time from the account page. Deleting it does not cancel or refund a purchase, and a reading you bought keeps opening for as long as its link does.

We may close an account that is used to abuse the service.

Fourteen days, and how you give them up

A consumer in the EU can normally cancel a distance purchase within fourteen days and have their money back. Digital content is an exception to that, and only when three things are true: you asked for delivery to begin straight away, you acknowledged that asking for it means losing the right to cancel, and we confirmed the contract to you on a durable medium.

The first two happen at the checkout. Before the payment button will do anything you have to tick a box that says, in these words:

I want my reading written now. I understand that writing it starts straight away and that I give up my right to cancel within fourteen days.

The button refuses without it, in a plain sentence rather than by going grey. The same words are shown again above the pay button on Stripe's page, so they are the last thing you read before paying, and they are recorded against the payment along with the moment you agreed to them.

The third is a confirmation from us, by email, carrying the terms of what you bought and the consent above. If you did not get one, the fourteen-day right stands: write to readings@dolya.app within fourteen days of buying and we will cancel and refund. Stripe sends its own receipt for the payment separately, by email, at the same time.

Refunds

Where something has genuinely gone wrong - the reading never arrived, the link never opened, you were charged twice - write to readings@dolya.app and we will put it right. Beyond that, a refund is at our discretion.

A refund ends the reading. When the whole of the price goes back, as a refund we make or as a chargeback you raise with your bank, the link stops opening the reading at the same moment, automatically. Opening it afterwards gives you a page saying the reading was refunded, naming the birth date it was for, and offering to sell it to you again. If only part of the price goes back, the reading stays open. Stripe sends its own confirmation of the refund, separately.

Buying in the app

In the Dolya app for Android the same full version, for one birth date, can be bought through Google Play. Google Play takes the payment on its own page, at the price it shows there, which is the price in the app; it can differ from the price on this site. Everything above holds for it, apart from what follows.

It arrives as a book in the app rather than as a link: it is kept on the phone it was bought on, and listed in your account if you are signed in when you buy it or sign in afterwards, so that another phone can open it. The box with the sentence above is in the app, unticked, and Google Play's page does not open until it is ticked; it is recorded with the purchase in the same way. Google Play sends its own receipt.

A refund of a purchase made in the app is asked for from Google Play, under its refund policy, or from us at readings@dolya.app. When the whole of the price goes back, the book stops opening, in the app and in your account, as a refunded reading does on this site.

What a reading is not

A reading is written to be thought about. It is not advice.

Nothing in it is medical, psychological, legal or financial advice, and none of it is a prediction. It cannot tell you what will happen. What you do about your health, your money, your work or anybody in your life is your decision, and a reading is a poor substitute for a doctor, a lawyer or an accountant.

Dolya will not write about health, and that is built rather than promised. The composer is instructed never to raise health, illness, death or pregnancy. Every draft is then read by a check that looks for exactly those words, and a draft that breaks the rule is never shown to you and never kept. What you get instead is a fresh draft, or one plain sentence saying the reading did not come through. There is no health reading here because the product refuses to make one.

When it does not work

A reading is composed while you wait, and occasionally it fails. The free one can simply be asked for again. A paid reading that stops part way keeps the parts already written: come back to your link and it picks up from there. If it still will not finish, write to us.

There is a limit on how many free readings and how many payment pages one connection can open in an hour. It is there to keep an open, free thing from being drained, and a reader who has paid is counted on their own so that nobody else's traffic can shut them out.

Governing law

These terms are governed by Estonian law, and a dispute would be heard by the Estonian courts.

If you are a consumer, that takes nothing away from you. You keep every mandatory protection the law of the country you live in gives you, and you can bring a claim there. If we cannot settle something between us, the European Commission keeps a list of the national bodies that resolve consumer disputes, member state by member state, at consumer-redress.ec.europa.eu.

Changes

We may change these terms. A purchase is governed by the version that was on this page when it was made. The sentence you agreed to at the checkout is stored with its own wording and the date you agreed to it, so an old purchase is read under the words you actually saw rather than under whatever stands here now.

Read a chart
